Efficacy Analysis of Bairui Capsules for Mycoplasma Pneumonia in Children as Adjuvant Therapy

[Abstract] Aim To observe the clinical efficacy of Bairui capsules for mycoplasma pneumonia in children as adjuvant therapy. Methods:100 patients with mycoplasma pneumonia who meet the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into two groups: 50 patients treated with Bairui capsule and Azithromycin for injection as the treatment group; 50 patients treated with Azithromycin for injection alone as the control group. All patients were given general supportive treatment and symptomatic treatments such as reducing phlegm, cough, fever, etc. Results: fever clearance time, cough disappearing time, symptom in lung disappearing time and lung x-ray signs recovery time in treatment group were significantly shorter than those in the control group (P <0.01); After two courses of treatment, the total effective rate in the treatment group was 92.0%, which is significantly higher than that of the control group (82.0%), P <0.05. Conclusion: Baorui capsule as adjuvant treatment of mycoplasma pneumonia in children can significantly improve the clinical efficacy, shorten the course of disease. It should be widely used in clinic.
